Long Over Due Post...
heh.. its been a real long time since i blogged about anything... as ususal, the same reasons apply. Its been a long tiring and mentally draining semester and my exams are in mid way... ok ok i know sometimes i am just too bloody lazy to write anything... and for that i apologise :p
Anyway, i just can't wait for this semester to be over. Its been real bad... and tiring... its semesters like this that really make you think twice about going on to higher levels of learning. GAH! there has been so many incidents when i wanted to call it quits...
Oh well, it has been a weird semester... hmm, Arsenal are in the Chamipons League Finals (WTF???) , Real Madrid despite all their players are doing very badly in the La Liga (about time though, Sorry Javier and Xavi), I am actually worried about finding a job, friends are now celebrating weddings instead of birthdays, even the Opposition Parties are now contesting the dominant hegemon... What in the World is going on??? :X
Ah well... that brings about the final point.
For once, the elections or (the ELECTION) is actually on! For the first time since the 1990's our ruling party has not been returned to power on nomination day! (yes yes for all you people overseas, it is not weird over here that the ruling hegemon returns to power on the nomination day)
Heh. and for the first time in my life, i actually have the opportunity, nay privillage to vote!!! Yes ! Moi has the right/ privellage/ honour (put in your own word) to vote! Lol my election card with my full name and registration number came in the mail today! Dont worry skeptics out there! Voting here is SECRECT!nobody will know.
Oh yeah. Bloggers and fellow friends out there... Please be careful. As commenting on political issues here are sensitive, we have to register our names with the appropriate authorities for if we don't it might lead to messy reprecussions if the authorities deem our analysis . Unless of cause we blog from overseas, then its legal.
Anyway, yeah my area *GRC (now for this election only [due to too much jerry- mandering] is known as East Coast GRC) is currently contested between 2 different groups. Basically, the contest might be over even before it begun, but kudos for the group attempting to stand out. After all, it ain't easy playing against the big boys, but at least they tried.
Which brings me to another point, right now to May 6 (election day) is suppose to be the time they are rallying for votes, and thus all the alternate lampost in my area have posters! haha apparently they don't like to use all the lamp posts, so they like to squeeze all the different parties posters on the same lamp post. Therefore what we get is a really messy lamp post with a lot of posters on top of each other... really unprofessional and messy.
Anyway, back to my studies... i have 2 more papers left!!!
